Bio
Chef Francesco Gallo was born in Faenza in the Emilia Romagna region of Northern Italy. He discovered his passion for cooking as a young boy, inheriting the oldest ways from his Mother and Grandmother. He graduated from culinary school in Castel San Pietro Terme in 2008 and went on to work in several restaurants across the country discovering the vast varieties of culinary traditions from North to South. Francesco has worked in some of Italy’s finest restaurants like San Domenico in Imola, and Spiaggia Ira in Sardinia. He arrived in New York City in 2010 and immediately felt comfortable in his new home. He started his NYC journey working diligently at all four locations of Piccolo Café, then continuing to grow as Sous Chef at the highly acclaimed A Voce, Columbus Circle. Chef Francesco excels in Italian Cuisine with a contemporary style but strong traditional roots, respecting the season and the product used in his dishes.
